I was mooching around Ely market with the wife on a gorgeous spring afternoon when I spotted this glorious sign.

3 @ 3 is well known by the locals for being one of the best places to spend a hot summers day, mainly thanks to their lovely cafe garden, but also because they serve a selection of craft beers too!
I have had this place on my radar for a while now, so now was the perfect opportunity to pop in and share my love for this wonderful cafe/bar with the rest of you!

Just in case the diverse selection of drinks they had on their menu was not enough, 3@3 has a great selection of craft beers, ales, ciders, and other alcoholic beverages in their beer cave. These are free to purchase and take away.

I always love coming to 3@3. Unfortunately, it only reaches its full potential on nice days which can be few and far between. I would love to see this place expand or open up more seating indoors so craft beer enthusiasts could take full advantage of it throughout the entire year. It is worth noting that they do mulled wine throughout Christmas time which can be very enjoyable, especially during the Ely Christmas market.
Make sure to check them out!
Update: 15/4/2023
I popped back to 3@3 today to catch up and see what else has changed. I was hoping that it is still the same lovely place it was before but a lot has actually been going on…and all for the good!
First off, it now has upstairs seating. This counters one of the only criticisms I had about the venue during my last visit. It is now a great place to visit whatever the weather.

Naturally, they had an updated draft menu, which is always changing. I decided to go for a ‘Shine On Me’ by 3BM which comes to a 4.2%. I must admit, this was a bit too anaemic for my liking but went down a treat for my guest who enjoys a more standard beer/lager. The ‘Point Break’ by Wild Child was much more my bag. This is a West Coast ale which had a lot more depth than the Point Break that (for an extra 51p) was easily worth it! It would have been nice to see something stronger at the 7-8% mark in future as everything other than the sour was quite weak.

The service by the team has only gotten better. They were their usual accommodating and friendly self but were also happy to set up a tab for us to make life easier (even though there was a big group of us). Someone in our group made a comment that this would never happen in Cambridge and I think they are right in most cases.
3@3 is still dog friendly but we also noticed that they allow you to bring in your own food too. This is massive as this means you can order a kebab, curry, or something from the foodie market across the road and enjoy a craft beer in that garden in the sun. Wholesome!
