Worzals – Wisbech

Stopped at Worzals out in Wisbech to grab some lunch nibbles. Lovely little place, with its own Bar & Grill, farm shop and garden centre.

The farm shop itself has a cottagey market kind of vibe, and the deli has a great selection of baked goods which appear to be made in house (didn’t ask…).

Lalbagh Indian restaurant

We picked up a Caramelised Onion Scotch Egg, Smokey BBQ Scotch Egg, a Vegan Roll, and some onion Bhajis.

My son inhaled the BBQ Scotch Egg, and he’s asthmatic, so safe to say that it must have been delicious. Daughter and I had the Caramelised Onion Scotch Eggs, very very yummy, but hard to go wrong with sausage meat and onions in my humble opinion. None of them had that much sought after runny yolk, but certainly were really well made with quality ingredients. Maybe one for Simon Tompkins to consider for his league table some day.

Raja Indian restaurant, King Street

Aimee-Louise Hunt had the Vegan Roll, and seemed to enjoy it. She also vouches for their vegetarian quiches, which she adores.

The Onion Bhajis were out of this world good, probably the spiciest I’ve ever had, which was an interesting contrast when you’re eating them cold.

Sushi & Salad, Ely

WorzaNot sure I’d go out of my way to travel the hour it is from where I live to visit regularly. But if you’re passing Wisbech and need a nibble, then they are well worth stopping by at.
