I know this is not Cambridgeshire. In fact, this is the furthest I have ever travelled for a curry. But it was a wonderful memory traveling up to see my uncle before he passed away. We just so happened to pass a multi award winning Indian restaurant, so naturally, I had to drag my long suffering wife in for a curry before heading home.

This was back before the Cambridge Foodies existed and the Cambridge Curry Community was only doing short reviews directly on the Facebook group.

This is what I wrote at the time.

“The best customer service I’ve ever experienced in an Indian restaurant. These chaps send you out floating. I can see why they are award winning… Shame it wasn’t Cambridge, but in fact Whitley Bay. 😂🤣”

The curry was very hot too, as you can see, I was absolutely sweating 😂
