Cambridge Foodie Eunice hit the French Bistro Fancett’s, at the heart of the Cambridge foodie scene, Mill Road.
“Thanks to this group for recommendation, we went trying Fancettes on Mill Road that was open in September for lunch today. Amazing experience i have to say.
Of course we don’t want Chain restaurants all over Cambridge, it’s really nice to see more independent restaurants opening on high streets. The owners of Fancettes are wife and husband team, I learned that Dan Fancette lived in France before and brought some French influence back to UK.
We r lucky to sit by the window and enjoyed the whole meal. It’s a fairly small place and just recently serves lunch.
They only have 2 or 3 course lunch menus. Everything is good.

The Soup is silky and smoothy with crispy bread crumb that make this dish with different layers.

The cod was cooked beautifully. Vegetable stew is nicely flavoured. 3 courses for 25 ponds is a big win in my opinion.

Dinner menus are changing on daily base and a bit pricier.
Overall Happy to see a French bistro in town. We definitely visit again.”
