Juic’it Up – New juice bar on Mill Road!

Invite – click here

‘Juic’it Up’ has only been open a week, so I was excited to visit and see what it had to offer. As far as I am aware, there aren’t any other juice bars on Mill Road, which makes it a very welcome addition to the area.

Lalbagh Indian restaurant, Bourn

The restaurant is located by the Mill Road bridge where an old ‘cash for gold’ place was previously located. Personally, this is a much better use of the shop and they have done a great job tidying it up and making it a more pleasant place to be.

It is very small but they have done wonders with it. I am a particular fan of the large open window with a breakfast bar running along the side. This makes it feel much more spacious and a great place to people watch. There is also outdoor seating so people can enjoy the weather.

There is a wide selection of sweets available at the bar, as well as a juice machine. The menu has a selection of ‘fruit elixirs’, fruity frappes, and shakes. There is also food available, such as waffles, sandwiches, paninis, and wraps. Making it a good choice for quick food on the go.

I decided to order two drinks to get a good idea of what they have to offer. On the left was the ‘Pista Ferrari’ shake and on the right was the watermelon ‘fruit elixir’ (smoothie).

Sizes came in Kids, Medium, and Large and hovered around £4-6. You are given a wide choice of chocolate options in your shake from Twix to Oreo, and Ferrero Richer. Juic’it Up even offer a ‘you choose, we blend’ option so you can pick your favourite chocolate bar or fruit and they will blend it together for you…Just in case you have a very specific taste!

I was a big fan of both the smoothie and milkshake. I was especially pleased to know that there is no added sugar in either. The watermelon elixir is their best seller, so make sure to give it a try if you decide to visit!

All the juices have no added sugar.

I ordered a ‘cheeky monkey’. This is a waffle with banana, strawberries, Nutella and chocolate flakes. This was presented in a portable cardboard box that makes it easy to have on the go and is also recyclable. The knife and forks are also made of the same material.

The waffle tasted great and was well presented, though I will say that I felt that the waffle may have been a little small. I would like to see an extra waffle or perhaps a larger one for an extra £1 or so (or at least an option to upgrade?). Especially since the photo on the menu showed a double waffle. With that said, I think this will satisfy most people and was incredibly moorish.

Next on my session of pure indulgence was the Nutella sandwich. This is a three slice sandwich with Nutella in one and bananas in another. This was painfully sweet. I know a few people out there are going to absolutely love this like my son and my sister but it was a little much for an old man like me. 🤣

This was one of the messiest thing I have ever eaten! This is all part of the fun but make sure you are equipped with enough napkins! I don’t know what I would have done taking this on a train 🤣 With that said, the staff were great here and made sure that I had everything I needed.

I really enjoyed my visit at Juic’it Up. I can see this being a great place to grab a smoothie, lunch, or sweet treat while on the go. It’s located close to the train station where I can see people popping in on their way in or out of work. The outdoor seating is a nice touch which makes it a great place to meet up and hang out. I hear that they are going to be getting a patio heater for the winter, meaning this is not going to be a summer place. I have a feeling that my 12 year old son will be begging me to visit very soon.
