The Bridge – Waterbeach

After an afternoon sailing down the river Cam in my friends fancy new boat we decided to pop by an old favourite of mine, The Bridge in Waterbeach.

The Bridge has it all. A large dog friendly beer garden along the river, a classic and tastefully decorated interior, and a good selection of premium beers. There is plenty of space to Moore up on the river but also a good sized car park too.

The place is very easy on the eye and is a very pleasant place to be. There is a great beer garden along the river which is dog friendly. This has always been the main attraction of the pub, especially on a hot summers day.

Unfortunately, I didn’t get any photos of the interior but the hotel is done in a rustic “old English” style. It’s done very tastefully and gives off that warm and cosy feel which is perfect for those cold winter nights.

There were some great beers on tap with Madri and Birra Moretti available. I decided to go for a Moretti which was served in a rather stylish glass.

It was a real delight sitting out in the garden along the river watching the world go by. This is the pub’s strength but is also a nice place to be indoors too.

The food’s reputation over the years has been very hit and miss but I’ve never had a bad meal myself. We didn’t order today so you’ll have to wait for the full review in the future.

Thanks for reading.
